Warm and friendly

The staffs are very friendly and helpful, I was in Taipei for a flowers arrangement exhibition, and I need to find a place to make the work before moving into the exhibition venue. I asked the staff if I could have any space to make my flowers arrangement, and they did not reject, and offered a common area for me to do it quietly for an afternoon.

The room is very small without a proper desk... I would recommend if budget fits, should choose a bigger size of room. Also, the breakfast is ended at 10am, I think if they can extend it to 10:30am would be better.

Pleasant but tight

Decent pillows, very friendly and accommodating staff.

Room was very very small. The fridge was in the bathroom under the sink. No proper table or wardrobe too.

Great location, staff were lovely.

Great location, staff were lovely. Room was spacious and generally comfortable, and the amenities provided smelled lovely. Hotel has a cool design aesthetic.

I would have liked more amenities (shower cap etc) to provide a more ‘luxury’ experience. The television had a very bright light which was difficult to ignore at night. On our first day, the room was not cleaned until late afternoon, which was disruptive to our day.

Amazing stay.

Amazing stay. Quiet, clean, fantastic decor. Perfect location in a real Taipei setting as opposed to huge American style hotels. Excellent staff and great options for breakfast. The onsite restaurant is great too. Super close access to red and brown MRT lines. Will definitely stay again.

Good central location and clean rooms,

It just felt cold and soulless especially the corridors I can see what they were trying to achieve as a boutique hotel but they haven't pulled it off.

What was the highlight of Folio Daan Taipei

Loved the location

I chose the hotel because I had the impression the location would be really good to get to various interesting places in Taipei. And it was. The Daan metro stop is right around the corner, super convenient, yet very quiet. Also, there are a lot of little food stalls and a nice cafe in the immediate vicinity. The hotel gave us a little map of the neighborhood and a larger one for Taipei. Super handy. The rooms are small, but well appointed, very nice design. We had breakfast included, the buffet had all that we needed for either a Chinese or a Western breakfast, ok quality, but sometimes it took a long time for items to be refilled. All in all I would definitely come back here and recommend this hotel!

Best choice for a stylish yet surprisingly affordable hotel

Excellent location: not next to a high-traffic road & only 2 minutes walk from MRT Daan station—excellent base for exploring Taipei. Very friendly English speaking staff, who go out of their way to answer questions, e.g. where is a good spa? Plenty of restaurants available within 5 minutes walking. Hotel looks modern with (Scandinavian) stylish rooms and lobby.

Lovely hotel in excellent location

Excellent service. Overall ambience of hotel was very nice. Love the decoration and art pieces.

Would prefer to have a door for the bathroom. Air ventilation / air con was blowing onto my head when in bed, even if I turn the fan to low or auto. Had to switch off in order to sleep. That would be impossible for summer months.

Nice, stylish hotel in a great location.

Nice, stylish hotel in a great location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The larger rooms with balcony are very nice, although not overly large. Very good value for money compared to other facilities in Taipei. We liked the atmosphere a lot.

We found our first room without any option to open the window and get some air unbearable. Staff was friendly and luckily could arrange a different room with balcony. That one was comfy and nice. One thing we really don’t like, but that’s personal taste, is the bathroom directly in your room with only a glass door. Also (as in so many hotels) there isn’t really much storage space. Ok for a weekend trip, but hard to cope with in our case, traveling for three weeks with lots of luggage.
